  1. Do I need to bring anything with me to tour an apartment?
    Yes. Prospective residents and visitors must bring a current driver’s license or other government issued Photo ID in order to tour an apartment.
  2. In addition to the monthly rent, what additional fees are the resident’s responsibility?
    Taylor Woods’ residents are responsible for their own utilities, to include electricity, gas, water usage and Verizon FIOS for internet and television.
  3. What are the income and credit qualifications for leasing at Taylor Woods?
    The applicants’ combined gross monthly income must be at least 3 times the monthly rent. Applicants with a credit score of 650 and higher will be approved upon satisfactory proof of income, rental history, background check, etc.
  4. What is acceptable proof of income?
    If employed, applicant must provide their two most recent pay stubs. Other sources of income include but are not limited to , tax returns, bank statements, 1099’s, proof of government payments, proof of investment or trust fund income, student loan or grant award documents, Court Orders for child or spousal support, etc.
  5. If I get a job transfer, can I break the lease?
    There is no provision for breaking the lease agreement. However, with the landlord’s prior written consent, the resident may assign the lease or sublet the apartment.
  6. How long is the term of the lease?
    The standard Taylor Woods lease term is 12 months.
  7. Is a month-to-month lease plan available after my first year at Taylor Woods?
    No. There is no provision in the lease for a month-to-month renewal.
  8. Are utilities included?
    No. Taylor Woods’ residents are responsible for the payment of their own utilities including electricity, gas, water usage and Verizon FIOS for internet and television.
  9. Are pets permitted at Taylor Woods?
    Yes. Taylor Woods is a pet friendly community. Certain restrictions apply.
  10. Am I required to have renters’ insurance?
    Yes. All Taylor Woods residents are required to have renters’ insurance.
  11. Are furnished apartments available?
    No. We currently do not offer furnished apartments at Taylor Woods, however we can refer to furniture rental companies to accommodate you.
  12. Do you offer corporate apartments?
    We currently do not offer corporate apartments at Taylor Woods.
  13. If I need a repair in my apartment, how should I report it?
    You can make your service request conveniently, at any time, through the online resident portal on the Taylor Woods website. You can also call or visit the leasing office during regular business hours to register your request.
  14. When is my rent payment due?
    Your rent is due on or before the first of every month. Late fees will be assessed after the 5th of the month.
  15. What day of the month am I liable for a late charge?
    You are liable for a late charge for payments received on or after the 6th of the month.
  16. Will you accept electronic payments directly from my bank?
    Yes.
  17. Where can I pay my rent after office hours?
    You can pay your rent via the resident portal at any time. Rent payments in the form of check or money order will be accepted in the leasing office during regular business hours or it can be placed in our mailbox after hours.
  18. Does the lease permit someone to stay with me in my apartment for an extended period of time?
    Anyone staying with you for more than four consecutive weeks must be added to the lease with landlord’s prior written approval.
  19. Do you have reserved parking?
    No. We do not have reserved parking, however there is ample parking throughout Taylor Woods.
  20. I have a motorcycle. Where can I park it?
    You can park your motorcycle in the parking lot.
  21. Do you have internet services?
    All of the apartments here at Taylor Woods are pre-wired for FIOS internet, phone and TV, and other internet providers. Residents are responsible for setting up their own individual accounts for their apartment. There is free WiFi internet access and HDTV available to residents in the business center and clubhouse.
  22. Is there a swimming pool?
    Yes. Taylor Woods has an outdoor swimming pool.
  23. Is there a fitness center?
    Yes. There is a well-equipped fitness center complete with shower and changing facilities for the residents of Taylor Woods.
  24. Are Residents permitted to paint the interior of their apartment?
    Yes. Residents are permitted to paint their apartment interiors, however the apartment must be painted back to its original color prior to move out or an additional charge will be assessed.
  25. Will you accept a package for me?
    Packages will be accepted at the leasing office for those residents who have completed a Waiver of Liability form. Size and quantity limits apply.
